Low odour, low VOC systems that still look like lacquer.

Sirca interior waterborne lacquers and Novalk waterbase systems for workshops and sites that cannot live with solvent. Colour matched on the spectrophotometer, mixed on the Corob line, specified by sheen like any other stack we sell.

Waterborne is a different chemistry, not solvent with the smell turned down. The gun, the room, the wash-up and the sample door all change. Done properly, you still get a specified sheen and a stored colour. Done as a single tin in a solvent process, you get fisheye and a client who wants the old doors back.

When waterborne is the right call

  • Occupied sites and schools where solvent is not acceptable
  • Workshops tightening VOC and odour without dropping a matched colour
  • Furniture and joinery that can live with the chemical resistance of the waterborne stack we specify

When it is not: a fire strategy that names a certified solvent FR system, or a chemical-resistance brief that still wants two-pack PU. We will not convert those by accident.

Sirca interior waterbase

Clear and pigmented interior waterborne lacquers for furniture and joinery. Typical quote-builder packs are 4.5 / 5 kg and 25 kg, with matt and semi-gloss sheens. We colour match this product on the spectrophotometer and mix it on the Corob dispenser — say “Sirca waterborne” on the order so the formula is stored on the right line.

Novalk waterbase

Low-VOC waterborne systems from Novalk, the other main line we distribute in Ireland. Packs include 4 litre / 5 kg and 20 kg, again in matt and semi-gloss. If you already run Novalk solvent, this is often the cleaner conversation for a line switch, still with us as the main Irish distributor.

Switch a line, not a single tin

Bring a door that already exists in solvent. We match colour and sheen on the waterborne system you will actually spray, then you run a full sealer-plus-topcoat sample. Moving a solvent line to waterborne covers booth, humidity and dedicated wash-up.

Store waterborne where it cannot freeze. A tin that sat on a porch in January can look fine and still spray cloudy. See storing lacquer.

Colour matching on waterborne bases

Same workflow as solvent pigmented systems, different formula. Tell colour matching it is waterborne. A stored AC grey is not a Sirca waterborne grey.

Sirca or Novalk?

Both are in stock as main-distributor lines. Sales will place you on the system that fits the substrate, the sheen and the site.
